CHOC Children's Virtual Tour, PIH Health Referrals, and Much More!

CHOC Children's Virtual Tour with Charlie

CHOC Children's Hospital worked with our team to produce a virtual tour of their Orange County location, showcasing their many departments and facilities. We gathered previous years of CHOC footage in order to show off each and every department. We met with Charlie, a former patient, so that she could introduce the video and transition between segments.

We chose to shoot at the main entrance of the building, allowing for a fantastic backdrop of the CHOC sign. Using our EVA-1 kit and a battery powered Aputure C300d, we were able to light our talent. Afterwards, we traveled to a private conference room in order to record voiceover work with Charlie.

Video Shoot with Firearms Training Associates

ESI Video was contracted by Take One Productions in Irvine to produce another series of tactical and non-tactical products at Firearms Training Associates. Our first set up took place inside their firearms training classroom, where we shot a series of instructional segments with Bill Murphy.

After that was completed, we moved into their shoot house so that Bill could demonstrate each product. We used the EVA-1 and a GH4 operated on a Ronin stabilizer, following him as he moved throughout each room. We even threw on a GoPro camera, for coverage of Bill utilizing the products in first person.

After shooting B roll of each individual product, we took them back to our studio in order to produce high quality beauty shots. By capturing various types of coverage, we can put together a highly detailed video showcasing the features of each product in action.

California Southern University Virtual Tour

Marketing and public relations agency Rocket Science called on our video team to produce a staged virtual tour of California Southern University. Using our EVA-1 Cinema Camera, along with our light kit and Aputure C300D Mark II, we recorded the president of the college at his desk as he tended to school business. After this set up we switched to the Panasonic GH4 mounted on a Ronin gimbal, which allowed us to capture the dynamic movement of the busy college lobby. We then used this footage to create a video overviewing the curriculum and programs offered by the online college.

PIH Heath Hospital Town Hall, Benefits Package, and Referral Videos

This month ESI Video assisted PIH Health in staying connected with their physicians and staff amid continuing social distancing guidelines through three separate projects. First, we were able to provide a platform for PIH Health to speak directly to their staff in their Virtual Town Hall event. We recorded their message, which covered the accomplishments, new developments, and expansions of each hospital and the medical group, using our teleprompter, EVA -1 Cinema Camera, and light kit. We then used this same set up to record a separate video for the Human Resources Department in which the Chief Human Resources Officer virtually presented a detailed overview of the coming year's employee benefits package.

We wrapped up this month's work at PIH Health with a series of virtual referral videos. Each video featured a doctor answering questions on their specific field of practice in a concise and informative way. These videos will build a data base that doctors can utilize to find the right specialist for their patients and patients can use to get a better idea of the doctors available to treat them. To produce these videos we converted a break room at PIH Health Whittier Hospital into a green screen studio where we were able to efficiently record several doctors one after another.
